The Life Is Peachy Podcast is an immersive, audio documentary experience; each erpisode featuring a guest, immense sound design laced with music, quotes, storytelling narrative and question / answer discussion.
First experiencing Sepultura, Pantera and Metallica in the Summer of ’96 and living out his formative years during Nu Metal’s reign, "Heavy" music has remained a constant in David’s life. His love for music and cinema led to the formation of Her Name Is Murder Productions in 2009 and a career creating music videos and music documentaries around the world with artists of all shapes and sizes.
Over the last decade storytelling has played a huge role in David's life and while usually spending most of his time on set, on tour or in the studio creating documentaries for artists and fans, the unpredictable year formally known as 2020 led to many of these stories falling victim to the back burner.
This need to express, to share and to connect led to the creation of “Life Is Peachy”; a nostalgia fuelled podcast discussing various albums predominately falling under the heavy music umbrella and their impact both personally and on the band.
“So many albums have played an essential part in my personal and creative growth and are vital in keeping me grounded and connected to my past, present and future. Music can give you so much and some albums can feel like a friend; they understand you like no other.”

An Artistically Crafted Podcast Experience!
Nevermind the complaints! This isn’t your average podcast, as Dave explains he likes to create a narrative with his film production background. Coming from the perspective of a cinephile AND heavy music enthusiast, Life Is Peachy is definitely crossbreeding the words and music into a storybook visual. Most albums featured thus far I once promoted myself as an obsessive, music hungry fan working on street teams for record labels, marketing companies or just because I loved a band that much.
If you grew up in the golden age of Snot, (hed) Planet Earth, Will Haven, Machine Head, Spineshank or Chimaira, consider yourselves fortunate! You’ll definitely enjoy each episode with the artists who created the albums, as Life Is Peachy creates a proper dose of aural nostalgia.
Fantastic idea but muddled
Love the idea and love seeing great underrated bands like Snot and Hed(pe) on here that don't get a lot of coverage.
The problem is the way it's arranged, little blips of music, beeps and sound effects breaking up the interviews. It's mildly annoying.
The idea is incredible, keep it up but clean it up a bit and you'll see massive improvements.
Loving the flashback to the 90’s
I appreciate the commitment to Nu-Metal and this time of music. Great work! (Don’t let the 1star nay sayers discourage you)
