“The photography of pre-pubescent children topless is child pornography and if done for financial gain then is also both exploitation and the distribution of child pornography. In her series of images using children standing semi naked is all of these things. It can all be done in the name of art but it is time to call it what it is: child pornography. The ABC is helping to entrench the idea that it is ok to exploit children and in this case pre-pubscent male children and that is abhorent. That the interviewer doesn't even question this as art shows the abyss that the ABC has fallen into. It should never be ok to photograph pre-pubescent children. These children were to young to consent and in the photographers own words they had to wait quietly until they turned 18 when consent could be giving and this alone indicates the stalking of a pediphile. It is not ok to exploit children even in the name of art. This exhibition at the Head On Photo Festival should be removed immediately. Let children be children free of predators like Dr Ella Dreyfus.”Read full review »
