“Just listened to ep 10 .. bravo! Great podcast boys... Forget the stuffy reviews and those easily offended, they’ll always find something to whine about. The irrelevant tangents helps to keep it entertaining … It’s like Russian roulette … who knows where this could lead. It might be big Julie one moment, could be a review on last night's parmegiana the next. I prefer to be surprised, the more minutia, the better … even if it does stray off topic occasionally. One small note though, and i believe i speak on this topic with some expertise … stop feeding the ego of a certain Stephen Murray. I’ve been married to his sister for over ten years, and i tell you, nothing good will come of it! If there is more than one Marius in Caesar … there may be a couple of Caesars in Muzza. Give him too much air time and reap the ego you sow. Beware the Ides of May (or June … or July … or whenever)
Otherwise, i’m loving it. It’s been a few years (give or take) since i studied Caesar and you guys are killing it! I’m finding all these well known events fascinating … as if i hadn’t already studied them. I’m hearing them anew, because of the colour you’re giving these characters and events. So well done … BTW, I’ve never been a fan of podcasts, it’s always boring or too high-brow, but you guys have made me a believer.
PS a shout out to Steve … It’s all tongue-in-cheek. He’s actually a very humble and sweet guy who might match you two in his passion for the big Julie … but don’t tell him i said that.”Read full review »

“What a fun podcast! As a long term podcast listener I'm enjoying this a lot. All you whinging septic tanks need to stop pulling a Sulla in your reviews, remove your lictors rod from your posterior, tighten your loosely belted toga and crucify yourself on the appian way. My second favourite...”Read full review »
