LifeCraft: Design an Authentic and Well-crafted Life Karen Cindy and Jose Decolongon

This special episode features the stories of LifeCrafters Pilar Baltazar, Flora Belinario, Divine Gil Reyes, and Van Robles.  They share about their LifeCraft experience and where they are now.  This was recorded during the LifeCraft Homecoming event held in July 2021 which celebrated the first year anniversary of LifeCraft.

Pilar Maria Baltazar, or Pilar is the Service Delivery Head for Finance Shared Services, Investment Operations, and Data Analytics Reporting CoE of MBPS.  She took LifeCraft when she was sent by her organization to the LifeCraft course offered under the Advanced Learning Academy of the Australian New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.

Flora Belinario, is a Fisheries Technologist by profession and currently working as Senior Manager of an international non-profit organization dedicated to conserving coastal ecosystems and initiating innovations to support marine biodiversity conservation. Flora took the LifeCraft course as part of her master's program at the Asian Institute of Management.

Divine Gil Reyes or Divine is an advertising and digital marketing professional who is the Chief Creative Officer and owner of Perkcomm, Inc. She is also an award-winning book author.  Divine took the first-ever public run of the LifeCraft course.

Van McLean Robles or Van is an International Protect and Prepare Programme Officer at the British Embassy to the Philippines.  Van took the LifeCraft course, which he helped to organize also under the Advanced Learning Academy of the Australian New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.

This episode was hosted by fellow LifeCrafter alumni Jannille Obnial.  Jannille is an experienced Human Resources Facilitator and a strong community and social services professional with a degree in nursing.

A singer, songwriter, actress, editor, photographer, and even a creative director, Nadine is a woman who has taught herself to wear many hats, and prides herself for being very hands on with all of her projects.  Listen to this episode as Nadine shares her advocacies and her creative process.  

Nadine started in 2009 with the music group Pop Girls, she has tirelessly been working on her career to bring it to the level that it is today. Branching into film, it was clear she was, and still is, a woman of many talents, as her lead role in the film Diary Ng Panget allowed the world to see exactly what she’s capable of.

This episode features a very special guest as Coach Karen Cindy and Futurist Jose have an insightful discussion with Kerwin Go on how to bravely follow ones passions and being unapologetically true to one’s self.
Kerwin who is the Head Chef of two award-winning restaurants talks about how he pursued his passion for cooking and how his restaurants are dealing with the pandemic. He also recounts how he got into his other passion which is fitness and bodybuilding.  Finally, he shares how he became comfortable in being gay given his traditional family background and thriving in the kitchen and in bodybuilding, which traditionally are known for its high machismo culture.

For this episode, Coach Karen Cindy and Futurist Jose have an insightful discussion about leadership with Lorraine Pablo-Ugale.  

Lorraine shares her leadership journey from an individual contributor in a consulting company in Manila to becoming a global IT leader at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. In her current role, she leads multiple global teams and provides overall management and oversight of global systems while assisting the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the WHO in strategic and operational matters.

Lorraine talks about the challenges posed by the pandemic and handling diverse international teams at the same time.  She recounts her personal journey as a leader and the biggest obstacles she had to overcome.  She also talks about living in Switzerland and gives advice to people who wish to pursue a life and career abroad.
