This podcast was really enjoyable, but I wish they would’ve went with another storyline for season 2. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but it could’ve been better. I think having Lia ask Daniel questions while being held captive would’ve flown better with the series, but that’s just my opinion....Read full review »

This was the first podcast I ever listened to. Now my library is very, very large. Just went the distance to listen to it all over. It seemed enough time has passed, and once again. I’m back to wondering why it ended so abruptly?

New writers that ruined the entire plot. Look up how POORLY this was handled. Absolute trash, everything was Ret-conned

The first season had me hooked and I was so excited I found it, but the second season … started strong but by the last two episodes, man oh man, they were a HUGE disappointment. I’m not sure if this story ends here or if they’re adding another season, but it was like they didn’t know how to...Read full review »

Fast-paced and really well-written! This show has made me think in a number of different ways, and that’s a good thing. I highly recommend this podcast!

This podcast freaked me out. I think it was the immersive audio, but it definitely scares me and I’m not finishing it lol

Season 2 is a pointless mess. I remember rabidly following Season 1. The Season 2 tone is completely different, and not in a good way. I wish I had never started it in the first place.

I was bored for most of it. I don’t understand the hype for this series personally. I had to force myself to finish the first season and didn’t bother with the second because it is unanimously panned by those who love the first. Episode 2 was pretty good, but I don’t feel the rest of the season...Read full review »

I binged season 1 loved it. Then season 2 I can’t even get past 2 episodes. What happened? What went wrong?

Great sound design. Not bad script. I just felt the underlying story wasn’t that gripping. Whoever made this has some really great potential…but this story just didn’t seem edgy enough. Perhaps a little dissonant between the soundscape and the story. I kept thinking it was going to get a lot more...Read full review »

I was ready to write a review and give this 5 stars after season 1. I decided to wait and listen to season 2 before leaving a review because of many comments I read in regards to season 2. Long story short, the ending (if you can call it that) is absolutely horrible and ruins the entire podcast.

Just started and I’m fully hooked. Love a great mystery!!!
Drox1987 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/20/22
They need to say up front that this is a work of fiction, although it’s pretty obvious after about 15 minutes into the first episode. As a work of fiction (mystery/horror/whatever) it’s pretty silly. I stopped listening when it involved communicating telepathically with the pig. It’s also pretty...Read full review »

The second series, though, for the most part still engaging, is something of a let down after the rush if the first.

This podcast was pretty good. It’s a classic for a reason. It’s well produced has a good plot line and was even made into a tv. It’s worth a listen even if it isn’t my favorite

Hard to follow at times but glad i stayed through the end. Ending was a great twist to unmask the villain. Investigative reporting theme is a good draw

So many twists and turns I could never figure out where the story was going beforehand.

When season 1 came out, I swore up and down that it was one of the greatest podcasts ever written. It was creepy and sent chills down my spine. Then the book came out, and suddenly season 2 was tied to the book instead of season 1, with contradictions between them all. I haven’t seen the show yet...Read full review »

Formatted like investigative reporting, season 1 is a mystery/thriller with a reporter unraveling the mystery of a town that suddenly became a ghost town 10 years previously. The characters presented in the interviews are interesting and acted well, and the way the mystery builds over the course...Read full review »

One of the all time best audio fiction podcasts. An absolute inspiration. Flawless execution and a story that’s worth it.

It really did got under my skin. Season two? The heck was that? The first season answered the majority of the questions set up. And what happened at the end? Good thing season 1 was really was that good that season two didn’t diminish it.
rosa manzo via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/25/21
I really enjoyed season 1! But the ending in season 2 was completely unmoving. Tons of unanswered questions, a big dramatic story that left me with basically no ending. We are to choose which story to believe? This could’ve been better.

Love this podcast. Simple listen. Have listened to season 1 three times since it came out. Interesting concept. The show didn’t do the podcast justice. Love Leah drive to solve this mystery.

Season one is definitely slower. But the build up it has leading into Season 2. *chefs kiss* Season 2 is definitely melodramatic. But the entire story that ties into Season 1. The answers to what questions you have. Getting into the nitty gritty. I love the voice actors. They get their point...Read full review »

Season 1 had stunning characters, monologues, slow burn, great format. Season 2: grueling melodrama, that should pay off in the end. But it did the opposite of paying off! unsatisfying journey.

I gave this a go based on the great reviews, but it never gripped me that much. Had some good writing and tense moments, but seemed disjointed and failed to live up to expectations. A lot of promise but didn’t really go anywhere, and disappointed by the ending.

I absolutely LOVE this podcast, the voice acting is amazing and its so well made! The mystery is so captivating I loved every second of it, I wish there was more!

After reading such great reviews I thought why not give it a go.. although not terrible it just failed to build into anything jaw droppingly interesting. Just your big standard series lacking any real punch

The story is slow but by the end you’ll enjoy it.
Smosher311 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/13/21
I agree with the criticism of season 2. First of all, this should be categorized under sci-fi, and second of all, this didn’t just have an unsatisfactory ending- it didn’t have AN ending. It just… stopped. I’d take a bad, unsatisfactory ending over no conclusion to the story or character...Read full review »

I love this show.
