A podcast about the people, policies, and practices that determine how well we eat. In each episode of Local Food Factors, we will examine risks facing small-scale food producers. We will highlight what’s working for these food suppliers, and suggest actions we can take to keep the good food coming our way. This is about the means by which we secure fresh food for our future. Local Food Factors is a production of the Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society -- known as the Hanover Co-op Food Stores of New Hampshire and Vermont.

Independently owned agriculture isn’t just a nice alternative, it seems like it’s a necessary resource in these times of food supply insecurity. I like hearing from the farmers themselves and understanding what it takes to put food on my table.
