2: Trade the aging and contentious Lebron James insisting that he goes with Russel as a package deal.
3: Allow Ham to provide input in the selection of players who would result in the trade.
It is clear that Lebron is not going to help the Lakers win another ring, assuming that he can even stay off the injury list , or even gi deep in the playoffs next season.
Both the Lakers and Lebron himself are racing against time. With Lebron its age; with the Lakers it's Bron's exponentially decreasing ability to impose his will on the outcome of a game.
