“Still don't understand what happened with the ESPN Football Today podcast. The dynamic Matt Williamson had with RoFlo and the producer was fun without sacrificing interesting and detailed analysis. They replaced him with some basic ESPN talking head that dished out the typical "gut-based" tropes based on whatever simplistic narrative the NFL-Media-Country-Club happened to prefer at the time. I stopped listening almost immediately and I guess the show was canceled at some point.
A former scout, Matt Williamson backs up his analysis with details and examples, like a scouting report for the masses. He keeps it objective for the most part but there's enthusiasm and it's clear he loves the game. Great to have him back, wish I knew about this show earlier in the season.”Read full review »
