The dominance of the starting staff of the Chicago White Sox and accompanying bullpen were put on pause on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers. Sox lost to the Tigers by a score of, 7-2. Giolito issued four earned runs and seven walks in 3+ innings of work. The bullpen issued another 3 earned runs and four walks. It was a bad day for Sox pitching. Aside from a Gavin Sheets homerun and a manufactured run thanks to a Jake Burger stolen base coupled with a Tim Anderson single, there was not much happening offensively.
