Armchair Quarterback
The story is interesting enough but the judgement call on the police is undeserved. In retrospect our thinking is always so linear. If only the police had done X, then Y would not have happened. But we never know the unintended consequences. Perhaps a 3 car crash on an overcrowded alternative route. Or a driver speeding to avoid getting shot and wrecking. We always assume that an alternative outcome is better. Sometimes it is worse. I am not a cop, nor do I claim that the police are above reproach. But it does appear, in this case, that the sheriff’s department did some really good work and caught the guy. The loss of life is very sad and tragic for those 3 girls. But that is on the perp and not the police.

The concept and production is great. I wanted to love this but Dana’s condescending and immature comments about the population of OC displayed extreme bias and ruined the show for me. I stopped listening.

The shootings are eerie and the podcast host does an amazing job of introducing the story, the characters and the dark mystery of all the events so far. Wish I could...Read full review »
