“I found this podcast on Reddit a couple weeks ago in r/AskReddit. I scrolled through briefly and found a comment by u/CoffeeCoyote saying “Lou Reads the Internet For You: A soothing man with a soothing voice reading the most horrific forums on the internet”. Now, I have a certain disturbed and crude sense of humour, so I thought that it sounded right up my street. Safe to say, it is. I’m completely hooked.
I’m an Architecture student and I’ve found this podcast to be perfect for sitting back to whilst working on models or drawings. In fact, I’ve only found that it’s perfect for everything from driving to work, shopping for messages (Scottish for groceries), cooking etc. I would say that it’s not ideal for dinner parties or intimate social gatherings.
I was surprised to find out the number of people that listen to this podcast as I was sure that it had a lot more. I expect that this podcast will blow up sooner or later because I whole heartedly believe that it deserves it so much.
One note that I must make after listening to almost 80% of the content in under 2 weeks is the way that it’s changed my outlook on people. The way that Lou reads is very nonprejudiced and it’s led me to be more open minded and accepting of people’s points of view. (After a lot of reflection, I might add).
TL;DR: A mixture of calm, relaxing reading from the worlds most horrific and disturbing forums, excellent quality of both production and content. You don’t want to miss this.
Keep up the great work Lou!
