Fantastic! Going deep into the music, culture and politics of the dancefloor
Fantastic podcast which just gets better as it goes deeper. If you have even a passing interest in the wider aspects of dance music within society, culture and politics, then this podcast is a must listen. Starting on the dancefloor of David Mancuso’s loft apartment and going on a journey through the emergence of DJ culture, the impact of Fordism (and Post-Fordism) on modern music, the emergence and importance of feminist soul, the relationship of Gospel music to Afro-Psychedelia, and many more points in-between. The hosts, Tim and Jeremy, with their incredible knowledge in this area, have created a truly enlightening podcast about dance music culture. Highly recommended!

I am loving this podcast. Just the right amount of political insight and context while still giving the joy of music and the dance floor plenty of breathing space. Mildly nerdy in all the right ways with a massive uplift
