Stay inside and listen to MBTM
It’s great fun to hear how the stories and characters developed (or didn’t) month by month in Marvel comics, but what really makes this show for me is the historical context that Bryan and Robb give at the beginning of the main episodes and apply to their commentary. They show how the wider world influenced what was at the time such a cheap and disposable entertainment and how it therefore became part of the culture at large. Not that this is a dry academic lecture, you’re welcomed into a pleasantly rambling conversation between two old friends. It’s funny and occasionally surprisingly emotional (but that might just be me). MBTM is one of the things that cheered me up during a tough year - so if you’re interested in comics, it’s a tonic I’d recommend.
