“It was hard to listen to the Sinclair podcast. Mayim was not only unkind to her podcast guest but just plain rude. Sinclair was there to educate the audience about his research - take it or leave it. Questioning his approach, research, and discoveries is natural but Mayim berates him. Sinclair is not a economist to answer how the U.S. could sustain a population that could live into its 100s; he is not a ethicist to weigh if there is a moral obligation. Mayim was beyond unprofessional crying like a child - gasping for breath at time. Yes, passion is fine - but she clearly let her intense personal feeling cloud this interview. Sinclair diet isn’t as far-fetched as any out there. Because of his research, Sinclair believes eating one meal a day it’s all that needed. This doesn’t that mean that people with eating disorders or other health issues should adopt this lifestyle. Sinclair’s discoveries could be liken to a cure to cancer. Would Mayim be opposed to a cure? Millions of people would live longer - and would also (according to Mayim) drain the economic and health care system. I have major skepticism of Sinclair’s “claims” but Mayim overreaction shows her incompetence.
The audience is constantly reminded that Mayim is a neuroscientist but her emotional IQ is that of a child.”
