Opening my mind up!
Love the multiple voices, willingness to bring voices from both sides of the aisle. As a bleeding heart liberal I appreciate gaining greater insight into what drives some of the antipathy towards the “car psychic” types. Altho not primarily a political podcast it’s been useful to me on that front. I’ve always understood that hunters were the true activists when it comes to land and animal conservation but now I’m understanding that on a practical level. Fascinated by hunting, foraging and growing my own food as well as the expertise and history, anthropology and sociology of the ancient and modern hunter and this podcast touches on all these subjects. I will say that Ted Nugget was intolerable and I was disappointed that no one on the team challenged him at all when he contradicted and spewed nonsense about CWD among other things. But more disappointed that there isn’t a little more nuance around the single mindedness the team has - I adore them for that single mindedness but sometimes I see an almost childlike inability to be their own best advocates. Regardless I adore what they’re doing for public land access and new hunter ingratiation as well as educating us neophytes.

I’ve probably listened to every Rogan podcast with Steve on it at least twice. The subject matter is always interesting, educational, and hilarious at the same time. I’m glad Steve finally decided to make his own, it’s about time there’s a hunting podcast I can look forward to.
