Mental Peace H

- Health & Fitness
Mental health is not talked about nearly as much as it should but it is also HOW we talk about it that matters to prevent people from being triggered. Here is a safe space where I talk about different issues and tips for how to overcome them whilst also discussing a lot of the roots of mental illnesses in society

Grief
This episode I talk about grief and dealing with loss (whatever it may be that you have lost).Know that life is different now but it isn’t any less worth living!
-
Purpose
This episode I talk about our purpose in life and living which I know sometimes people can question and get into a spiral about. I think it’s more common than people realise but it doesn’t mean if you struggle with something like this that you are any less important or worthy of help. Everyone matters equally and everyone is here for a reason. I hope this episode helps you see that.

Caring for someone struggling with mental health & being looked after
Often lack of communication between carers and those struggling with their mental health, can lead to misunderstanding and distancing in relationships. It’s hard to figure out, if you are being looked after, how to let carers know what you need in order to recover and this difficulty can often lead to carers assuming what will help. This can often unintentionally worsen the situation. Hopefully this episode gives you a bit of guidance if you are struggling to be looked after or looking after someone.

Friendships
There’s a lot of judgement and stress nowadays around forming friends, and how much everyone likes you. It can be hard not getting caught up in the idea of how many friends you have and whether people like you. A lot of the time however, the way people act is misinterpreted. If friendships are affecting your mental health I hope this episode supports you and gives you some really important reminders.

Diet Culture
Humans have invented a lot of things but I don’t think this is one to be proud of. Sometimes I don’t think people even realise that they are supporting or doing something related to diet culture. It’s a highly comparative field and one which is really detrimental to everyone’s health, not just girls as is commonly assumed. Over time though, people have started to speak out about diet culture and hopefully this episode helps you if you struggle with it.

Comparison
Comparison is everywhere and the triggers for it too. Society today is so competitive and manufactured that a lot of us have been trapped into a cycle of comparison and dissatisfaction. Without intervention it can spiral out of control. I hope this episode helps you if you know, or are someone who struggles with it.
