Ep. 98 - Lucia di Lammermoor
Naomi Berrattera gives the best podcasts of the series. They are exactly what one would want: context, what to listen for, interesting facts. Many of the other hosts' podcasts in this series are wastes of time; like movie reviews that just recite the plot. I'm posting this review because I was deeply disturbed by Dr. Barraterra's invocation of Feminist Theory to justify the heroine's murder of her husband. If that were invoked with the genders reversed... but of course the current world tolerates such hypocrisy.Read full review »

Given that it is sponsored by the MetOpera Guild, this is undoubtedly the best funded opera podcast extant. The extent to which each episode conveys the information in its description varies wildly.
