The soundscape is incredible… multidimensional characters you both love and hate sometimes at the same time. Imelda gives Umbridge vibes “shivers.” The narration style is so smooth. I thought I’d find it difficult switching among narrators but it’s like warmed butter. Who are these people and how...Read full review »

How do I describe Midst? It’s actually very enjoyable. It’s got 3 narrators who all take turns saying a couple of sentences, then they switch. The interesting thing is that all 3 share all of the voices. It should be a right confusing mess but somehow it works. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The first episode is a bit...Read full review »

Incredible podcast with three superb storytellers. Got hooked immediately on from the get go; fantastic world, great characters, really paining the nooks and crannies as well as the grand sweep of their story. The trio play off each other wonderfully, in character and out.

The best audio fiction I’ve ever listened to. Thrilling. Creative. Amazingly presented. Midst is set in its own unique and compelling universe. I cannot wait to hear season three.

The Trust is coming soon, if it’s not here already. It’s great to see a podcast taking on the leftist agenda like this. ESG, social credit scores, call it what you want but this is a great parable for leftism taken to its natural conclusion. Happy to see not all podcasts have been captured by...Read full review »

Midst is a fantastically twisted and stunningly decorated Labyrinth of of a story set in an equally stunning universe, with an foundation of absolutely perfectly woven and conceptualized allegorical social commentary

This show is so fantastic! The story line, the characters and the production is all great. The narrators have a unique style I have not heard before. Love it when a new episode pops up in my feed. Its up there with the production quality of many big budget BBC radio shows. Thanks guys

One of the best fictional podcasts I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. The story, the narration, the characters…they’ve obviously put a lot of work into this, and it shows. The wait for season 2 was painful, but worth it. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Midst is an incredible tale told by three phenomenally talented individuals. The way they rotate through as they tell the story, even for the same characters, is inventive and so so effective. They are a well-oiled machine of storytelling and they only get better as the show goes on. Speaking of...Read full review »

The three-voice narration threw me for a moment, but the story quickly became a deeply immersive, imaginative, and engrossing world. The sound design, originality and overall quality of this podcast is... it’s so good I can’t find the words to describe it... More, please!

This is so far head and shoulders above most other fiction podcasts it’s crazy. This is a genuinely new form of storytelling. Incredible production, incredible acting, incredible drama. And this is the ideal form for it. Your imagination meets theirs halfway. Bravo.

It’s characterful, incredibly well paced, clever characters, and one of the only fiction podcasts my partner can stand to listen to because the pacing is just so tight and well-judged. The narrators are compelling. The first several episodes confused me in that they don’t conclude. Keep listening, the characters are meticulously laid out and then the action begins. I couldn’t believe I binged the whole thing. Cannot wait for July for Season 2!

Midst’s quirky, dystopian fantasy style will be particularly appealling to folks who appreciate writers such as Paolo Bacigalupi. I loved it. This is everything i love about sci-Fi. The three narrators juggle their words elegantly, tossing the story back and forth, letting the tension rise as they rapid-fire the lines. The liner notes (so to speak) are a delight. They provide a peek into the world of Midst that the audio drama itself can’t provide. The sound effects are...Read full review »

From the moment you start listening, the narrators of Midst are toying with you. Good naturedly, but toying none the less.
