I relate to this podcast a lot as a daughter of immigrants. Whenever I listen it feels like I’m connecting to my identity and my heritage. I’ve been listening since the original Mija, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop.

I just binged season one and feel the love and closeness of all my PR family in our casa, those here, those long gone, and those still dreaming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story and reminding us of our own stories.

I love this podcast so much. Both of my parents immigrated to Miami from Medellin Colombia. There’s so many similarities between Mija and mines childhood. Every time I listen I am flooded with memories of my own family and childhood. Thank you for doing this.

This podcast put a smile on my face through every episode. I also come from immigrant parents...both from Columbia (Bogota & Barranquilla) who settled in New York. This podcast is well done with great story telling. I totally get it! Gracias.

Just found this show and I love how real and intimate it sounds. I think this is a great example of what podcasts can do in terms of storytelling and lifting up voices and perspectives from outside the mainstream.

I’m Not a Ny’er or Colombiana... but I related so well since my father was born in Mexico. I got emotional when you said ... ”her mother said... everything will be ok Mija”. My Parents never lived in the same state as their parents and I don’t live in the same state as mine. This is what I hear...Read full review »

First of all, I agree with one of the other reviews that New Yorkers will love this. As a former New Yorker, this podcasts brings me right back to its bustling streets!
