Wish there were native perspectives
Compelling story but the reporting on Fen missed the perspective of native & indigenous people to whom many of the artifacts he keeps in his home rightfully belong. I appreciated the interview with the archaeologist who discussed the unethical collecting (ie looting) & why these historical objects shouldn’t be kept by a greedy old white man for his own entertainment but I wished we would have heard the voices of people descended from the people who originally made them & the importance of returning them. Museums take what doesn’t belong to them, as well. I feel so sad for the desperate people who risked their lives in pursuit of this treasure without the skills & knowledge to do so safely.
