“I am always looking for new podcasts on my long commute to work (75 minutes).
I stumbled upon Monday Morning Critic Podcast browsing through apple podcasts. I have to say I was taken back. We hear about all the notoriously famous podcasts, but it's podcasts like this, the "Hidden Gems" that are the backbone of podcasting.
I heard the host, Derek Thomas talking about his guest quality and he wasn't lying. His knowledge and love for movies and TV is very clear. Most importantly his rapport with his guests is fantastic. Like hanging out with two friends over a few beers.
So many people today have podcasts, and most are almost impossible to get through one epsiode. Just flat out bad. However, Monday Morning Critic has found a new listener. My favorite thing about this podcast is that you never know who is next for a guest, but you know the guest is going to be great, well known and outside the box and always a pleasant surprise. The host works very hard developing a quality product. His style, his exchange with guests is very natural and smooth.
