If you enjoy learning about the methodology of science....
This is a podcast that is perfect for one hour commutes (or if you want to go for an hour-long walk around the neighborhood to get some exercise). Must listen to episodes: Pterosaurs, Plesiosaur Hypothesis, Fins &amp Fossil Footprints, and Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum (however this last one had technical difficulties - but still an amazing episode). What I like about this podcast is that the hosts get a lot of substantive information from the guests (typically scientists), and you learn about methodologies and technologies of scientific endeavors. The bonus is that the conversation is so casual, you can enjoy moments of humor. While the first 10-minutes of banter or so can be hit or miss with some episodes, the content of the interviews are very substantive.

Whether your a skeptic, or a believer Monstertalk is both funny and informative. Blake, Ben, and Karen keep open minds while conducting their interviews even when dealing with the most hard core believers. A great podcast that has lead me to numerous great books on all sorts of topics.

If you're a skeptic then this is essentially more of the same, but at times the perspectives of the hosts tends to lean toward elitist against those who buy into the subject they speak of. It almost comes down from the top of a pedestal like "There is no room in this universe for people...Read full review »
