Family Annihilators don’t have/need “motive” in usual sense
Sigh...idiots screeching about “motive” are the same idiots who don’t seem to be aware of the family annihilator killer type — a well-documented phenomenon in 2020 unlike the much more naive 1970s (you know when a philandering narcissist would/could *never* kill his family...eye roll). They simply do not understand the horrific family annihilator slaughter of a family by its especially arrogant and narcissistic sociopath patriarch. The defense tries, as shady defenses always do, to make the case about Joe not the murderer Jeff, which is so transparent and such a frankly pathetic gesture. I am really looking forward to the rest of this podcast. However, I do hope the mountain of evidence against MacDonald is represented accurately — the idea that a journalist who was writing a book about the case owed MacDonald a narrative that exonerated him is absolutely ridiculous, and it just reveals MacDonald’s astonishing sociopathic privileged narcissism. It’s sad that people didn’t know the real statistics — that most pregnant women and young children are killed by the men who claim to love them not by “hippies” chanting “acid is groovy” (and the idea of the “girl” on the corner and the Manson-lite fairy tale — with a “black man” added for good measure — McDonald invented are the dumbest red herrings in crime history). The army was desperate to exonerate a former green beret doctor (arrogant sociopathic creep) who cheated on his wife constantly and was also already a domestic abuser. MacDonald is no different than Chris Watts or Robert Spangler or Christian Longo or Xavier DuPont or Josh Powell— he just lived in a much more naive era that repeated silly stories about how “no army man” would kill his (pregnant) wife and children (and then happily live like a rock star until the state came after his arse). It must have been those darn hippies from California that MacDonald had just read about in his Esquire magazine!! Read about the “anomic” family annihilator — it fits MacDonald perfectly. One of the issues with the MacDonald case, which seems fairly obvious in 2020, is that domestic abuse and narcissistic family annihilators were not yet part of the national consciousness. The Chris Watts, the Scott Petersons, the Robert Spanglers, the DuPont de Ligonnès types, the Christian Longos, the Josh Powells, AND the ladies who have so distinguished themselves by killing their children and/or entire families — the Harts, the Casey Anthonys, the Diane Downs, Susan Smiths (also blamed a black man when she deliberately drowned her own children), etc etc — were not known as widely yet to the public. Unfortunately too many people in 1970 wanted to believe in a fairy tale about a woman on groovy acid and a “black man” (groan) rather than looking this creep in the face.
