Do you know Jesus wants to meet you right where you are? Pastor Erwin McManus shares from the Gospel of John, where Jesus encounters a man who has been paralyzed for 38 years. The man was waiting to be carried into the pool of Bethesda after the waters were stirred to receive the miracle of healing he desperately wanted.  Jesus sees his desperation and first asks the man a simple question: “Do you want to get well?” The paralyzed man replies by explaining that he needs to get in the water first to be healed.  The paralytic man was standing in front of the God who had the ability to heal him in a moment. But he was convinced that the pool had the power to work a miracle for him instead. The paralytic man thought he had to get ‘there’ when Jesus wanted to meet him ‘here.’ This message is a powerful reminder that God came to meet us right where we are, without religious structures or hurdles to get to Him.
