“Preaching needs to exalt and magnify the majesty and greatness of God. The more we see who God is, the more we will be changed. Just listened to "Above the Noise," and I was grieved so many times. Platitudes, catch-phrases, jokes, and easy-application, all meant to please and put the focus on man, when we're called to honour and glorify the Lord. It pains me to hear how focused you are on what people think of you, pastor, but if you think less of yourself and more about God you won't have to fear man and the noise in your mind will go away and you will have the peace of God - STAND on The ROCK.
I'd suggest the following pastors to anyone who wants to know the Lord, be transformed, and go make disciples: Francis Chan, David Platt, Joe Boot, John Piper, Charles Spurgeon, Don Snyder, Paul Washer, and Understanding the Times with Jan Markell.
