Highly recommend for mindless listening
I’ve been listening to this podcast since the first episodes and I have recommended it to anyone that likes the true crime genre. I even saw them last year on tour and it was great, but it definitely has room for improvement. What used to be funny banter and engaging discussion has turned into mundane episodes of sloppily presenting Wikipedia-prepared book reports to each other. I appreciate Georgia’s effort to better research topics, but hearing Karen constantly “brag” about how she just copy and pasted her story from articles or defaulting to retelling an “I survived” story over and over again becomes incredibly stale and boring. Not to mention forced jokes and references that make no sense to anyone under the age of 30. It’s also incredibly frustrating trying to keep track of the stories in between all of the random side bars and interruptions. I usually have to replay episodes because they don’t make sense and are all over the place. I love this podcast, but it just has a much different vibe and lost its touch. If you like listening to mindless chit chat in the background, I highly recommend this. But for a true crime podcast, look somewhere else.

More reviews of My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark
Thought I was going to hear a professional murder-mystery/ csi type story telling. These girls ruthlessly laugh at the deaths of innocents. Had to delete after their disrespectful accounts of recent tragedies.

My favorite part of slumber party is when they talk about ghosts and true crimes so you can imagine how excited I was when I saw that Georgia had a new podcast about true crimes! Now I will admit that I have not heard of Karen...Read full review »

Granted I'm just a few minutes in but is this going to be just these two half remembering top ten true crime details? Also shame shame shame for conflating/misremembering male prostitutes with child molesting.Read full review »
