Food is intertwined with every emotion we have, from the happiest days to the saddest nights. Food is always around! from making dinner reservations to take out, from power lunches to drunk brunches, from Postmates to the drive through. We can’t avoid it... it’s everywhere!

But what if you had to make the most important reservation of your life — I’m talking about your very last reservation on Earth. Where would it be? What would you eat? I mean, would your last meal be something off your favorite “Keto menu” or maybe from your gramma’s house?

This podcast asks that question and dives into the connection between our lives and our food, how we grow, and how our food taste changes as we do. Whether it’s before death by firing squad, an alien abduction, or taking the blue pill, I’m asking my guests what their final meal would be, and why?

From working as a server at Sur in Hollywood to starring in Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Marie is no stranger to fine dining. However, on this episode, Scheana gives us a glimpse of her food journey which began as a picky eater as a child and moved into having the best food experience in Bali. The fava bean principle, with Chef Travis Milton

The fava bean principle, with Chef Travis Milton

This week on the podcast, we have Chef Travis Milton in the building. Chef Travis is the culinary director and executive chef for Nicewonder Properties in Bristol, Virginia, and is essentially the engineer of the Appalachia food scene. Chef Travis talks to Chef Alysia about his intro into the food world stemming from his first encounter with fettuccine alfredo at a Wendy's when he was a kid. (Who knew Wendy's sold pasta?) Also, in this fun-filled episode, we get an insight into the burgeoning Appalachia food scene, we hear about the vital components of Chef Travis' refrigerator, and he shares quite possibly the most delicious-sounding late-night snack; here's a hint, it's much simpler than you might imagine an executive chef makes. Be sure to check out this episode!

If you don't like tuna, grow up. (with TINX!)

If you don't like tuna, grow up. (with TINX!)

On this week's episode, Chef hangs out with digital creator and all-around content specialist, Tinx. During this episode, Tinx shares stories of growing up in England with American parents and the types of foods that influenced her childhood, specifically her family's Italian and Lebanese heritage, and how that shaped her palette to this day. Chef and Tinx get into how moving to northern California for college changed her life due to the arrival of Mexican food to her diet (she never had Mexican food in England) and how that cuisine still rules supreme in her life. Finally, to all of our dessert enthusiasts, we have something for you too; from the way Tinx describes her favorite desserts to the fact that she has to have a lunch dessert and a dinner dessert every day, you'll love this episode and what she has to say. Don't miss this phenomenal episode!

    Mr. Chew's Fantastic Fookies

    Mr. Chew's Fantastic Fookies

This week on the podcast, we have the honor of going on a true audio journey when Chef Erik of the Los Angeles Mission joins Chef Alisa. Chef Erik gives us a glimpse into how he became a chef feeding thousands of people every week, and his path is definitely one with a couple of turns. From his time as a child learning how to make cinnamon toast to his crash course in Creole-inspired cuisine, Chef Erik always had a natural inclination for food. He highlights that he did not fully embrace becoming a chef until he went on an “extended vacation” and started making the best candy wheels in the land, Mr. Chew's Fantastic Fookies. This episode is full of gems, lessons, laughs, and food; you don't want to miss out!

Love this podcast!!

Chef Alisa is so much fun! She’s great with the guests and I find it very interesting to hear what a last meal would be. I personally vote for french toast made by Syd and Taco’s Mom after hearing them talk about it!
