“I liked the story, Jamie’s pacing, her comedic timing and delivery, and her willingness to admit where she got things wrong. It took bravery to put herself in that situation. I don’t see this as a vicious takedown of Mensa, but instead a nuanced look at what appears on balance to be a clearly problematic (and significant) aspect of a group whose existence and self-definition is in itself problematic. The sound effects are awful, but definitely worth ignoring to focus on the story.”
