“I am in a bus listening to a podcast: NAKED ON CASHMERE by the remarkable author Atticus.
I have been following Atticus for a long time now and I have also read his first two books in hopes to read The truth about magic soon.
His poetry is wordless, it’s awakening, it’s painful, it’s lovely and a bunch of other adjectives more.
But this podcast... oh my god!
Every time that I read a poem I try to read it as he would and when I finish I say “ I think I’ve succeeded” but after listening to his voice I said “not even close”.
I love the way the music starts and how he says “this moment is yours” because there is no best way to express what poetry is to others. Poetry is mine! Everyone understands it in a different way and no way is better than another.
To finish I have to say that this podcast has made me travel to the Milky Way and back and has made me see the stars brighter than I already saw them. It has made me smile and even cry.
So thank you Atticus for creating this podcast.
Here you have the first three sentences of the poem I wrote madly in youth
-I wrote madly in youth.
I wrote because I had so much to see
and so much to say-
LISTEN TO IT AT ONCE”
