Our guest for this episode,  @Amrut DogGuru can be called one of the pioneers of canine training and psychology in India. Grown-up with curiosity about dogs, he won many laurels by breeding, importing, and showing dogs in his childhood days.    Despite completing his Engineering, his heart was in Canine Psychology, so after intensive research, Amrut decided to enroll in the excellent Canine Psychology and Behaviour Course offered by the Animal Sciences Department at UNITEC in New Zealand.  After returning to India in 2009, Amrut set up the Dog Guru School in Kengeri, Bangalore which has so far trained 700 dogs. This is the only psychological center for dogs in India and admits dogs starting from 6 months of age and has no upper age limit. Dogguru School also supplies Explosives and Narcotics Detection dogs to corporates. Cisco Bangalore’s search, in 2010, for Explosives Detection Dogs (US standards) led them to “Dog Guru” Amrut, who took on the responsibility to train and provide the dogs to specifications. Today “Dog Guru” Amrut is a contract holder for large corporate clients like Embassy Tech Village, Vrindavan Tech Park, Manyata Tech Park, Cessna Business Park, Cisco and hotels like the Park Plaza. So, if you are a dog parent or if you're looking at dog training as a career option, then this episode will open your eyes to many nuances of canine life.
