Hi all,  Welcome back! In this episode, I'm exploring the question of whether marriages can survive after there's been infidelity.  I'm not simply answering the question, because the answer is easy. We *can* do anything. But looking at the why of it all is far more interesting and important if you're considering staying married to a person who has betrayed you in this way.  Have a listen and let me know your thoughts.  Find me on Instagram or on my website.

Oof!! This week we were treated to video footage of Kansas City Chief's kicker Harrison Butker speaking to the graduating class of Benedictine College in Kansas. He throws out some wildly archaic ideas about marriage and the role of women in the home that I felt needed to be immediately addressed. Always curious to hear your thoughts! Come share them with me on instagram or threads @nbdivorcecoaching or email me at [email protected].

Months ago, my therapist and I, prompted by an answer in the NYT crossword had a long conversation about the Sunk Cost Fallacy. Though it is a concept that refers to business investments, it is incredible how well it relates to relationships. There is so much insight to be gained from the Sunk Cost Fallacy in terms of undesrstanding the motivations behind our decisions. Can't wait to hear what you think. Please share your thoughts with me: Instagram: @nbdivorcecoaching Email:...

Hi everyone and welcome to episode 3: The a**hole conundrum!  This episode is very special to me. It is a concept I use for understanding human behavior that I coined several years ago. I have been waiting for the right opportunity to share it, and it's finally here.  The a**hole conundrum looks at how we behave in certain situations in order to avoid feeling like bad people, when actually these actions make us worse.  Listen now to hear exactly what I mean and to learn the importance of...

In this episode of New Beginnings: A Marriage and Divorce Podcast, Tamar looks at the concept of forever. Does it make sense as a construct for relationships? Are there other ways to structure marriage that are more in line with people's lived experiences? How does commitment affect the way we assess our relationships?

Hello! And welcome to the first episode of New Beginnings: A Marriage and Divorce Podcast. In this week's inaugural episode we take a look at the metrics of marriage. How do we judge the success of a marriage? Are we accurate in our assessments or are we using a measuring stick that doesn't quite work? Join me for this discussion and come share your thoughts with me @nbdivorcecoaching on Instagram and Threads.  I look forward to connecting with all of you.
