“The balance between Crouch, Stark, and Fordyce worked so well in the old podcast. Now it’s just two former footballers bullying a non-footballer, which feels strange after ‘That Peter Crouch Film’ focused so much on how he grew up being made fun of.
Also, sorry to keep mentioning the old podcast, but it’s worth mentioning that ongoing jokes came around naturally from organic conversation (Parched etc), now it’s seems that as soon as something slightly funny is said, they all latch onto it and try and force it into something that it isn’t. “Puddings Is Massive” wasn’t ever funny and had zero legs but for some reason, they decided to spin the narrative that it was “sweeping the nation”…
Also, SO MANY ADS.
I’d recommend the original BBC podcast with Tom Fordyce as it’s still a great listen!
Don’t bother with this though.”
