“This podcast has great mixture of opinion, analysis, and humour with two hosts and fabulous guests who bring an inside view to the process of player evaluation. Opinions are expressed but they are backed up by careful, knowledgeable evaluation and analysis. And these guys are not afraid to talk about when they are wrong.
I would be interested in discussion about a major trend in team construction that is building. With quarterback contracts growing faster than the salary cap and therefore taking up a larger percentage of the salary cap for top quarterbacks we are seeing the ramifications in terms of the trades of Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill as an example. We also see that very few super bowls are won by teams paying top dollar for quarterbacks - part of Brady’s excellence was driven by the fact that he never signed a top dollar contract, truly recognizing that even he was affected by the team around him. A top quarterback helps a team be very good, but can they win it all with that much if the salary cap going to the one position?”
