I just discovered this podcast, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you love excellent sound quality, creepy horror stories, and first-rate acting, with no cringe-y cheese, then get ready to binge. Quarantine-worthy 👍

I have been into horror fiction since forever. I currently subscribe to a couple of other horror podcast, but find that they are hit or miss, as far as being good horror vs a waste of my time. This one, which I recently found, is terrific. I find the stories very interesting, thoughtful and...Read full review »

The story In The Beginning shook me to my core- the effective production & the building dread of the narration kept me on edge - but lord, I did not see the ending coming. I’m here for these new black voices in horror 100%.

These stories are great! I love a good scary story and all of these are amazing! The interviews with the authors and the fact that this is purely focused on Black creators is refreshing. I listen to a lot of scary story podcasts and this one stands out for really bringing the focus back to the...Read full review »

I am so excited that these stories offer the unique and priceless perspectives of people of color in the horror genre—grossly underrepresented elsewhere. This is a beautiful, needed, wholly welcome initiative and the talent is so, so evident. Keep scaring me!

What Ms. Thompson is doing sets her apart from the pack. There is something about a Black woman making space in a genre the often doesn’t see Black people or people of color. Thank you, Tonia. Thank you!

I’d say this show stands as strong as other podcasts such as Pseudopod and Tales to Terrify. If you want some good horror that just so happens to be a celebration of and supporting black authors, add this to your cue!

LORE is pretty good at giving me the spooky vibes, but NIGHTLIGHT . . .omg. Every short story freaks me out. They get someof the best Black writers out here playing in the genre with fresh takes on so many tropes. The werewolves in space story . . .OMG. Can not rec more highly. It's one of my...Read full review »

My first thought after episode 1 was “This is genius.” The show is genius and Tonia Thompson is brilliant. I subscribed as soon as I discovered it and have enjoyed it ever since. My only regret is not writing a review sooner. One reason I decided to try it out was because the first guest is the...Read full review »
