The sound qualities are varied and sometimes terrible, more podcasts have better sound quality so why is IGN’s so poor? Cutting out and hearing builders is not what I want from my Nintendo news, opinions are good but will be back after Covid

For a podcast about gaming and technology within the brand of a huge video game company the audio is terrible. Strange noises, choppy quality, just not up to par for a modern podcast. Please buy good mics and improve your setup!
TwentyBeersLater via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/25/21
I love NVC but they haven’t always adjusted well to being remote like most other podcasts have been. With 4 people, there needs to be better communication when a line is bad. Most recently mic feedback went unnoticed and then major background noise on one host’s line went I commented and lasted...Read full review »

Great source for Nintendo news. I think Casey is a good host. Always fun to listen to their discussions and listening to this podcast always puts me in a good mood :) At times unnecessarily political (mostly Peer).
Greninja6581 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/04/21
Love the reviews, hearing about what they’re playing, and Nintendo speculation and rumors, but I really wish they would let Peer and Zach host more often. Let’s also swap the hosts from Gamescoop every once in awhile or have them fill in occasionally.

I’m so happy to see Matt Casamassina came back for an episode. I’ve been listening since day one and very glad to hear his opinion. With games like Giant dancing plushies it good to see him post apple. Thanks Super Ninfendos!

This show just isn’t what it used to be, no one seems to have any passion about what they’re covering. No offense to anyone involved, but it could be so much better.

Ever since Pandemic happens I understand that everybody is working remotely but it’s painful to listen to audio from poor mics.

Sorry for the harsh (but honest) review. I’m a Loooong time listener and consider myself a super ninfrendo, but the latest episodes are just unlistenable to me. I have always loved NVC from Peer, Matt, Fran, Bozon, etc.. to Brian (Brapp brapp), but the latest format is just awful. Casey -...Read full review »

Brian is impossible to listen to, his boisterous laugh, his forced jokes that get added to already dead jokes, his use of the words "like" and "riiiight?"-- no more-- not to mention his quick little leftist commentaries he seems incapable of leaving from the show(that goes for...Read full review »

Long time listener here and a fan of Peer, Brian and Zach and how informative and excited they are about a nintendo content . Seth has been fine as well with his sarcastic brand of humor. This podcast is what it is. It’s fine. I like Peer and Casey and Brian and the rotating cast for the most part. I think the show sometimes suffers from being more of a group hangout that we happen to be overbearing vs an informative and focused podcast. I also think it’s a show that sometimes...Read full review »

This would be a good podcast if the staff would concentrate on being informative. Instead all you hear is a bunch of giggling and laughing girls.

NVC has a great job of keeping me listening even when they’re talking about games that I haven’t played/don’t have an interest in playing. Casey does a great job.

Over the years, the folks on the panel change, which makes sense because it is an IGN podcast. Casey is the current host, and I am not a fan. So that makes it hard for me to love the podcast. I like when the guests are older, because the young folks lack the perspective I enjoy. However, the...Read full review »

It’s a great podcast. My one gripe - please stop saying ‘cool’ to describe games and features you like and ‘super-cool’ if you really like them. There’s rarely a minute goes by, but someone, asked for their thoughts on a game, says ‘It’s really cool!’. Tom Marks in particular seems to have no...Read full review »

I deleted this podcast from my every week listening rotation. They cannot seem to leave their political views away from their content. Jokes made on the show regularly reflect a very liberal left opinion. If you lean that way you may enjoy the show more than I do. Stick to video games.

How about a video game podcast talks about games without shoe horning politics it’s so boring

Nothing to these guys is bad, everything’s good. Accordingly to this podcasts viewpoint. I think they pay them to hype all the Nintendo products to an unhealthy point of view. NVC used to be my “go to” podcast for Nintendo news... in the last year though the show has become a self indulgent mess of egos. The host seems to spend most of her time laughing at her own jokes. Very nice group here. Love Brian, Peer and Janet - great authentic voices with a clear level of knowledge. Casey clearly knows a lot about Nintendo and is very passionate but she isn’t a good fit as host. She would be much better as one of the guests. Also, Janet is so irritating.
