“I’ve listened to the podcast for about three years, and for a while I always looked forward to the biweekly podcast. I even donated about $500 to the show but I’m done. I get much better news about the world from other sources. I did really enjoy the Covid coverage, but now I start to wonder if I could’ve done better elsewhere.
I hope to reconnect with the show in a few years and see that it’s changed in a good way for me. There were many aspects of the show that I really enjoyed at the time.
I’ve been reading the war zone website for many years. It’s kind of like an abbreviated version of the old aviation week and space technology magazine. It’s a great source of information on the Ukraine war and general military developments. The war zone really knows their stuff and doesn’t spout misinformation. I don’t know how you can read their great coverage and then put up with the boy’s ignorance, they just seem tired and lazy.
I’m going to prioritize listening to the Jack Carr podcast for the next few weeks. He has a bunch of super high-quality episodes that I haven’t listened to yet. He puts in a lot of time preparing for his podcasts way more than certain people!
I also need to go back and re-listen to all the Dan Carlin episodes. he does a great job of deconstructing history, but he doesn’t have a lot of stuff online.
For a while, I listened to a podcast about military books, probably military history books, but for some reason they went woke. They are gone too.
I guess what I’m saying is that there are “too many eggs“ out there. You should definitely not spend all your time listening to one or two podcasts. Try lots of stuff and refine your list over time. I don’t think there’s a single podcast that I listen to now that I started listening to five years ago.
I definitely don’t listen to Joe Rogan, I avoid weedy podcasts.
It’s been good, but I’m moving on. Best of luck with your exit strategy. Do it soon! No jingles, no karma.”
