UPDATE (9/20/22): Flaws got worse, and divisiveness directed at audience have sunk this effort
UPDATE (9/20/22): I am completely done with this podcast. Over the course of this year in particular, the quality that existed has fallen off a cliff. I began wondering from episode to episode if any of the hosts still actually liked golf anymore. What used to be an annoyance in the Schuster brothers got worse; Tron's act became even more obnoxious than before. The others that I liked all got progressively worse. Randy seems more "checked out" than ever, to the point that I wonder if he even cares about anything when he's on. DJ has become a full-out enabler of the awful takes and slams on the audience. Soly has turned from being a decent host/interviewer to the originator of a drinking game as he's become a one-note, "strokes gained" parrot. Their fatal flaw, though, has grown in tandem with the start of LIV; that is, that they've turned on a large portion of their audience by getting political and slamming anyone and everyone who might be open-minded on the LIV vs. PGA battle into a "troll" and MAGA nut. Despite their constant protestations that they're being even-handed, they're fully anti-LIV. That would be OK if they weren't constantly dishonest about their balance. I don't know that their evolved stance on LIV and politics were one in the same, but the fact that they developed together can't help but be ignored. At any rate, they've become another obnoxious, unappealing platform to try to engage on a topic of interest (in this case, golf). They likely won't care, as they've already unfairly labeled me before even writing this updated review. ORIGINAL REVIEW (5/2021): I have enjoyed this podcast for a few years now. It’s a bit of a “bro-fest” with all their inside lingo, but not as obnoxious as other similar sports podcasts. The content is always solid, both in the Sunday recaps and the midweek long-form interviews. Soly, DJ, and Big Randy are good, knowledgeable, and funny. The new addition of Cody this week is very welcome; he seems a good fit with these three and is showing some different, good insight already. The biggest flaw has always been the Schuster brothers; Tron is thoroughly obnoxious, and Neil is even worse just because he doesn’t bring anything to the table in terms of golf or any other topic. Less is definitely more with the two of them.Read full review »

Incredible intro, and simply the best Golf podcast out there. Miles better than Shackhouse, and slightly better than Shane Bacon's Clubhouse pod. Awesome stuff, Soly!Read full review »
