I remember being a young 19 year old mom worried about childcare. I was lucky that I qualified for free daycare through state assistance and there was a great home daycare on the street I lived on. Now that I’m older and have a second baby, the price of childcare is ridiculous. While we can “afford” it now, it would greatly deter us from being able to afford other things: new car, new home, quality vacations, outings with the family. This podcast does an excellent job of detailing how the U.S. fails at providing affordable, great childcare to the masses.
