Gudrun Victoria Gotved - aka The Völva from Ribe / Vølven fra Ribe - became active in the Viking community and reenactment in 1996, and since she is both knowledgeable in Asatru and well-versed in the written sources, and interested in alternative medicine and herbs, it quickly became her "role" to be a völva. She is also an author and has written two books in Danish; "Asatro - Nordisk Spiritualitet" and "Asatro – de gamle guder i moderne tider". She works at Ribe Vikinge Centre as a communicator, in charge of the pagan rituals and works there with the runes as well as privately.
