A man is found dead in his own house. Nothing points to anything suspicious, so it is treated as death by natural causes. That is until two weeks later when a small bullet hole is found behind his ear. 

Hollywood is famous for it's outlandish, over-the-top scripts. This week's episode of Nordic True Crime resembles one of those scripts. Neo-Nazis, a famous playwright, car chases, arson, war crimes and murder - this case has it all. 

In March of 2008, in Arboga, Sweden, an act of pure evil will take place. This terrible crime will be carried out based on one simple human emotion............jealousy. 

In 1974, two seemingly unconnected construction workers disappear, ten months apart. There is no evidence; no bodies, but six people will be convicted for the murders of both men. 

In the autumn of 1998, a devastating fire breaks out in a function hall where a party for youngsters is taking place. It would be the the worst fire related disaster in Sweden, in modern times. However this was no accident, the fire was started on purpose.

It all started with the death of a millionaire. The results of the police investigation into his death, would send shockwaves throughout the country. Sweden's biggest scandal in recent years.      

In 2013, the police in Iceland shot dead a citizen for the first time in it's history. The national police commissioner apologised to the family of the man immediately, because this type incident just doesn't happen in the land of fire and ice. Murder and violent crime is very rare. So when a 20 year old woman's body is washed up on the shore just eight days after going missing, the whole county goes into shock. 

Late one evening, in the small town of Ljungby, in southern Sweden, residents of an apartment complex are awoken by a loud banging noise. When they decide to investigate what it may be, they are left shocked to the core by what it is they have been listening to echoing throughout the building. 

In the summer of 2011 a bomb goes off in the centre of Oslo, the capital city of Norway. The devastating explosion claims several lives, leaving hundreds suffering from various injuries. This attack was carried out by one man and as the capital struggled to deal with the aftermath of the bomb, little would they know that this same man would be on his way to carry out a massacre on an island just forty minutes away from the first attack in the city.
