Great, but…
I’ve listened to all 100 episodes of the main 1st main campaign and can say it’s some the funniest and often heartfelt stuff I’ve listened to. However, mechanically this is not balanced and throws out many eye roll moments and it should come with a meta game warning. I don’t know if it was a choice by the group or DM but there is a character which has broken action economy and stats. It really takes away from the immersion. How a Druid had more AC than a paladin. Uses a strength based weapon, has a familiar which doesn’t run off the owners action economy and can regenerate spells slots because they threw their toys out the pram is beyond me. It’s so painfully biased. At one point the Druid drops a creature out of the sky and the DM lets them roll for damage, but the creature can FLY. The rest of the stuff almost makes up for the DND Captain Marvel but not quite.

It's super cute seeing Jake slowly figure out all the potential of D&D. Everyone has great chemistry with one another. I hope this continues for a while.Read full review »
