I have been listening to Novel Pairings since the beginning, and it has quickly become a highlight of my week and the podcast drop I most look forward to. Sara and Chelsey are the English teachers I wish I’d had in high school. They offer so many literary insights into classic texts, but they balance that out with discussions of their own wide-ranging reading lives, critiques of traditional approaches to English education, fun and sometimes surprising pairings, and charming banter. I also love their conversations about ways to expand and diversify the English curriculum and to inculcate a genuine love of reading in students—concerns that were solely missing from my own education. For anyone who loves nerdy bookish conversation!”
