Decline in quality in the Trump era
So I want to say that I've been a long time listener of the politics podcast, from back in the days when Ken Rudin and Ron Elving co-hosted it. I was a huge fan of it back in the day, and initially I loved the reboot. But there are certain commentators that I absolutely can't stand because of how vapid and catering to false equivalence their takes are. I'm looking at you Domenico Montanaro. The podcast has become cable news lite - where it's less about taking the events of the day and putting them into context for listeners, providing new information to paint a full picture; and more about further hitting on the partisan divide and playing up the "both sides" as if the conservative argument is given in good faith. (Which most informed political observers know it isn't). There are just so many better programs to choose from, I can't give any more headspace to this waste of time. Let me know when they go back to their roots and actually provide insightful journalism again instead of this hackery.Read full review »

By far one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. The quality is great and NpR does its best to offer non-biased coverage of the political field.
