Israeli forces have begun the long-expected ground offensive into Lebanon. This came just days after Hezbollah's leader was killed by an Israeli airstrike. In a blunt message to Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there's nowhere in the Middle East that Israel can't reach.
Vice President Kamala Harris skips two campaign stops to be briefed in Washington on Hurricane Helene. Her campaign also reportedly raked in a staggering 55-million-dollars from fundraising events in California. Meanwhile, former President Trump surveyed a city in Georgia hit hard by the storm and called for unity.
A strike at U.S. Ports could start tomorrow if there's no agreement with the longshoremen's union on a new contract. The strike would force shutdowns at 14 ports in major cities from Boston to Houston. The work stoppage is expected to cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars a day.
