Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are both campaigning in the key battleground state of Michigan. Harris is making campaign stops in Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Oakland County, while Trump has events in Oakland County and Detroit. The judge overseeing Trump's January 6 federal election case made public more evidence collected by prosecutors. These include witness interview reports, grand jury testimony transcripts, and records obtained through search warrants. Much of it has been redacted. In North Carolina, turnout on the first day of early voting broke the previous record set in 2020. Records show that over 353,000 ballots were cast, even as parts of the state recover from Hurricane Helene. Both Israel and the Hamas terrorist group said they will continue fighting in Gaza in the wake of Israel's killing of top Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The Biden administration had expressed optimism about the situation, saying Sinwar's death represents an "inflection point" for a possible cease-fire.
