Description
The law is often considered absolute, fair and just as it is applied blindly and without prejudice. Most would acknowledge that present day cases, where the defendants' names are easily recognizable, those cases are tried in multiple courts. The court of public opinion and the the court in which defendants & plaintiffs present their case to Judge and Jury. In the intersection of the two lies the art of communication, story, perception and the truth. Richard Gabriel "is a one of the preeminent trial consultants in the country. Since 1985, Mr. Gabriel has been a leader in the field of jury research, jury selection and litigation communication with experience in more than 1,500 trials in both the civil and criminal arenas across the country." Richard sat down with Amicus Curiae Host Dan Wiig to discuss the nuances of jury selection, the art of story, perception, and the importance of strategic communication.  Mr. Gabriel has worked on many high profile cases and is the author of several books including Acquittal: An Insider Reveals the Stories and Strategies Behind Today’s Most Infamous Verdicts . He has edited several publications including Jury Selection: Strategy and Science; The Online Courtroom: Leveraging Remote Technology in Litigation.  Richard Gabriel is the President of Decision Analysis Litigation Strategy.
