Meh.
I don’t typically leave negative reviews since, if I don’t like a show, I simply unsubscribe and move on. In this case though, I’m completely torn. I started listening to this because I enjoyed the host’s original show, Let’s Not Meet. I’d give that show five stars, but the most I can give this one in good conscience is three. The stories are enjoyable, the music good, and the reading decent. Those are the things that keep me listening. What I can’t stand is the primary host, Andrew. He’s not a problem on Let’s Not Meet because he doesn’t talk or banter with a co-host at the end of the episodes. It’s physically painful to listen to his attempts at adult conversation. If you look up “Dunning-Kruger effect” online, you’ll pull up a Google image of his face. He not only has no idea what he’s talking about most of the time (e.g. placebo effect, etc.), but he’s obnoxiously arrogant, rude, and unpleasant. I keep listening for the stories, but I have to skip the banter at the end due to his input. The co-host is fine. I don’t mind his delivery and reading voice. Some people think it’s too flat, but it suits me. Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll keep listening, but for now, the stories are good enough to make up for the miserable host.

Sometimes these paranormal podcasts are so weird you can’t listen to them. But not this one! The stories are clear and easy to listen to. I can’t wait to hear more.
