“I have wished and dreamed I could have a life like this. I would dream of waking up and going to do morning chores and feeding the horses and whatever livestock we had. I have always wanted that kind of life, we had already decided we are going to buy a farm and raise our kids the way I wanted to grow up. We found a big beautiful 20 acre plot of land we are buying (hopefully in a week) in Missouri! So when I found this podcast I immediately fell in love. Everything Jill explains, the home grown food, the milk cow, absolutely everything that is in the life of old fashioned (minus some of the old fashioned clothes they wore 😳) is how I want to raise our children and how I want to live. We have had chickens and rabbits on our small -1/4 acre lot, we have cats and dogs and (where it all started developing) I even have a horse as well (obviously not at my house) but it just wasn’t enough. I wanted the huge pastures with cows and pigs and sheep, I wanted it all! I want to be able to provide everything for my family from sourdough bread to horses to ride and compete on. So I want to say from the bottom of the Southard families heart, Thank you. Thank you so much for giving the reality of it all and not just the “perfect life nothing ever goes wrong” storybook version. It truly means a lot. And with all the hard work involved we are ready to jump in and do this!! ❤️
