“Dear Dad,
I have listened to your podcast for years now, and haven’t left a review yet (mostly due to my own laziness), HOWEVER, I felt compelled to tell you that one day after listening to the acaropathology (ticks) episode- my partner told me about a rash on their body. I immediately thought it looked like Lyme, took them to the doctor, and we confirmed it. They’re on antibiotics, and it seems like we caught it in time, so I wanted to thank you, from the bottom of my lil ol heart, for sharing scientifically accurate information that made me feel better about those sneaky little devils, whom I still vehemently despise, and saved my partner from what could have been a very bad-news-bears situation.
Speaking of bears, the ursinology episode, and so many others have helped me enter the natural world with more confidence and more compassion for some misunderstood creatures, and it gives me fun and weird facts to spew out at unsuspecting friends and acquaintances. If there was a way to give this podcast 10 stars out of 5, I would. Definitely give this a listen, so you too can become a nerdy lil life-saver.
