Listen now
Description
On the 26 October 2017, after 12 minutes of bidding, a Rolex Daytona ref. 6239 that belonged to legendary actor Paul Newman was sold for $17,752,500USD. It’s a moment widely regarded as the most significant watch auction to date, not just for the hammer price achieved, but for the significance of the watch. In the room was James Cox, who, for decades, wore that watch on his wrist. This week we find out what it was like to wear and sell - Paul Newman's Paul Newman. Show notes: https://fal.cn/OTs1e16
